Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman played the entire postseason with broken costal cartilage in his sixth rib, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.
Freeman also dealt with a much-publicized high right ankle sprain and the continued impact of a fractured middle finger he sustained in August.
The 35-year-old battled through the injuries to win World Series MVP in the Dodgers' victory over the New York Yankees.
