The Colorado Avalanche signed forward Logan O'Connor to a six-year extension, the team announced Monday.
O'Connor's extension will carry a $2.5-million cap hit, TSN's Pierre LeBrun reports. He was set to become an unrestricted free agent next summer.
The 28-year-old accrued 13 goals and 25 points in 57 games last year. He underwent season-ending hip surgery in March.
