The San Francisco 49ers are signing running back Christian McCaffrey to a two-year extension, the team announced Tuesday.
The extension has an average annual value of $19 million, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The new deal ties McCaffrey to the 49ers through the 2027 season.
McCaffrey will receive an extra $8 million on top of what he was scheduled to make in the first two years of the extension as well as an additional $24 million in guarantees, per Schefter.
