It’s about time. Bye!
Thank goodness, umpire Angel Hernandez will retire from Major League Baseball on Tuesday after a 34-year career, a source told USA Today's Bob Nightengale.
Hernandez is widely considered baseball's most controversial and polarizing umpire. He reportedly spent the past two weeks negotiating a financial settlement with the league.
The 62-year-old worked his first MLB game on May 23, 1991, and his last contest on May 9, 2024, as the home plate umpire between the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Guardians.
