Police detained Scottie Scheffleron Friday morning as the World No. 1 tried to enter Valhalla Golf Club for Day 2 of the PGA Championship.
A fatal accident earlier Friday on the road to Valhalla backed up traffic near the entrance to the course, according to ESPN's Jeff Darlington. Scheffler tried bypassing the traffic and drove past a police officer, who ordered the 27-year-old to stop and then attempted to "attach himself to Scheffler's car," Darlington adds.
The officer reportedly started screaming at Scheffler to exit the vehicle after he stopped his car. Once he complied, police handcuffed the golfer, per Darlington.
