The San Diego Padres are acquiring infielder Luis Arraezfrom the Miami Marlins, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan.
The Padres are sending outfielders Dillon Head, Jakob Marsee, reliever Woo-Suk Go, and first baseman Nathan Martorella in the trade, The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reports.
Arraez won the batting title in 2023, hitting .354 with 43 extra-base hits in 147 games for the Marlins. He's off to another productive start at the plate this season, hitting .299 with eight doubles and five RBIs in 137 at-bats.
