The Boston Red Sox have locked up another piece of their young core, agreeing to an eight-year, $50-million extension with outfielder Ceddanne Rafaela, a source told Mark Feinsand of MLB.com.
Completion of the agreement is pending a physical.
The contract will delay Rafaela's free agency until after the 2031 season.
