The Irish pair of Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry rallied from behind to win the Zurich Classic of New Orleans - the PGA TOUR's annual team event - in a playoff over Chad Ramey and Martin Traineron Sunday.
McIlroy and Lowry settled for par on the first playoff hole, while Ramey and Trainer made bogey following a lengthy wait after shooting up the leaderboard with a final-round 63.
It's the first time McIlroy, who hails from Northern Ireland, and Lowry, a native of Ireland, have played the tournament together. But the two golfers have chemistry dating back to their successful Ryder Cup partnership.
