Miami Dolphins quarterback Teddy Bridgewater won't return to Sunday's game against the New York Jets after landing in concussion protocol in the first half.
Bridgewater passed concussion testing but was ruled out for cautionary reasons under the updated protocols, according to Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post. He was also evaluated for an elbow injury.
Rookie quarterback Skylar Thompson replaced the veteran. Bridgewater was starting in place of Tua Tagovailoa, who remains in concussion protocol after being injured in last Thursday's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
