The Atlanta Braves and rookie Spencer Strider agreed to a six-year, $75-million contract that keeps the right-hander with the franchise through at least the 2028 season.
The deal also includes a $22-million club option for the 2029 campaign with a $5-million buyout.
Strider will earn $1 million per season in 2023 and 2024, $4 million in 2025, $20 million in 2026, and $22 million in the 2027 and 2028 campaigns.
