New York Mets right-hander Max Scherzer pitched six perfect innings against the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday before being removed from the contest.
Scherzer exited the game after throwing 68 pitches. The 38-year-old was making his first start since returning from the injured list with left oblique irritation.
The three-time Cy Young winner was replaced by Tylor Megill, who gave up a hit to the first batter he faced in Christian Yelich.
