St. Louis Cardinals right-hander Jack Flaherty was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Monday following a lengthy absence due to a shoulder injury, the team announced. Flaherty will start Monday against the Washington Nationals.
A variety of shoulder injuries have limited the 26-year-old to just three starts this season. He started the season on the IL because of right shoulder discomfort before returning to the sidelines on June 27 with a strain.
