The New York Yankees announced outfielder Andrew Benintendi exited Friday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field with a wrist injury.
X-rays came back negative, and he is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Saturday.
The injury came on a first-pitch swing-and-miss in the third inning against lefty starter Jeffrey Springs. Benintendi immediately winced and shook his right hand before training staff removed him from the game.
