Carolina Panthers quarterback Sam Darnold is expected to miss four-to-six weeks due to a high ankle sprain, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The 25-year-old will seek a second opinion on his diagnosis, Rapoport adds.
Darnold suffered the injury in the Panthers' preseason finale against the Buffalo Bills on Friday when C.J. Brewer landed on him. Darnold was carted off the field before being ruled out for the remainder of the contest.
