The Atlanta Braves and rookie outfielder Michael Harris II are discussing an eight-year contract extension, sources told Robert Murray of FanSided.
The deal is expected to be worth around $72 million if completed, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.
Harris entered Tuesday's action slashing .292/.330/.508 with 12 homers, 39 RBIs, and 13 stolen bases over 70 games for the Braves this season. The 21-year-old's production has him positioned as one of the favorites to win NL Rookie of the Year.
