The San Diego Padres and Joe Musgrove are close to agreeing on a contract extension, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports. It's expected that the deal, once finalized, will be worth $100 million over five years, sources told Dennis Lin and Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
Musgrove is expected to take his physical in the next few days and an official announcement could come as soon as Monday
