The Baltimore Orioles are putting the league on notice.
"Man, you need to watch out for the Orioles," Baltimore right-hander Jordan Lyles said following a 6-3 comeback victory against the division-rival New York Yankees on Saturday night at Camden Yards, according to Andy Kostka of The Baltimore Sun.
The Orioles, a losing team for five straight seasons heading into 2022, once trailed the contest 3-0 against New York ace Gerrit Cole. While Lyles struggled against the Yankees' powerful lineup, surrendering three runs on eight hits and two walks over five innings of work, the O's stormed back to bail out their starter, scoring a pair each in the fifth, seventh, and eighth.
