The Detroit Red Wings hired Tampa Bay Lightning assistant coach Derek Lalonde to be their next head coach.
Lalonde spent the last four seasons serving on the Bolts' bench and he helped the team to three straight finals appearances as well as two consecutive Stanley Cup championships in 2020 and 2021.

The Houston Astros have thrown a combined no-hitter against the New York Yankees in a 3-0 victory Saturday.
Cristian Javier didn't surrender a hit over seven innings while striking out 13, Hector Neris pitched the eighth, and Ryan Pressly finished off the job in the ninth.
Daniel Hudson out with ACL injury
The Los Angeles Dodgers will likely be without reliever Daniel Hudson for the remainder of the season after the right-hander sustained an ACL injury on Friday, manager Dave Roberts said following the game.
Roberts stated that Hudson will undergo further tests, but the injury is currently being described as a sprain. The skipper also added, "I just don't see how it's not the end of his season."
