Well, there you have it. The Toronto Maple Leafs goaltending issues have officially gone from bad to worse. Petr Mrazek, the backup to Jack Campbell is officially out 6 weeks with a groin injury. I'm sure panic has worked it's way through the front office.
Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe announced the injury occurred during the first period against the Boston Bruins which also resulted in his third groin injury of the season. That's not good.
Confirmed that Jack Campbell is very close to returning from his rib injury and is expected to begin practicing with the team tomorrow. In the meantime, Erik Kallgren is expected to remain in the crease as starting goalie while Michael Hutchinson has been recalled on an emergency basis. Let's hope it stays that way.
